I just did a track day in 110 degree weather. Never again. I’m getting too old for that crap let alone I don’t own a 20 foot trailer with a/c. I have now modified my track season to March-May and October-November. (⊙_⊙’)

However, for my particular circumstances, let me have that new GasGas SM700 (Solid Red) which it’s already street legal and costs probably 1500 Euros less than this track only weapon.
I ain’t got the time, logistics or money to be tracking anything.

Yes… good call. ‘Spec sheet’ marketing at its finest!

It’s a shame, because for a closed course, ‘ready to race’ group bike… it should be the best of the available options.

It’s all about that dry weight!

I’m becoming a big fan of Husqvarna’s design language, far more compelling than KTM’s. I’m sure we’ll be seeing this machine in FIM Supermoto GP, a must-watch on YouTube. I hope they can hang with the TM’s, they seem to be the best ones in the series, but KTM isn’t far behind.

Progressive tends to have excess initial diving. Especially with that big disk up front and grabbing hard. Looking at the European professional Motard scene, few use air… the majority seem to swap out for conventional spring internals cartridge kits.

It would be nice if they also came with a decent end can guard and sliders too…. I guess those aftermarket sales are still needed. Does an Akro’ really add performance to an already ‘closed circuit’ only system? Shouldn’t the standard already be ‘ready to race’?

AER forks are a strange choice for a racing motard. Conventional springs may not be as easy to tune, but offer a linear, reliable action and do not change the damping curve with the significant changing temperature in use.
Digging the new bodywork though.

With such long travel suspension, I would have thought the progressive nature of an air-fork would be desirable. And the weight benefits are nothing to be sniffed at either.
