Comment on How Dorna Is Ending the Spanish Armada in MotoGP by Winston Poli https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/motogp/dorna-young-racer-development/#comment-470480 Fri, 31 Mar 2023 06:02:20 +0000 http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/?p=131419#comment-470480 Ermmm, Spanish company organizing motogp is not a good thing at all, international sports should not be solely run and organised by one single nationality simply because they love the sport? it leaves plenty of room for corruption, rigging and favoritism. Dornas total control of every aspect of the sport is just wrong and Dorna has shown massive bias towards all things Spanish ranging from riders, sponsors, tracks and associated contracts. It’s really not an even playing field for riders from countries outside of Spain as Dorna and its solely Spanish staff will always favor Spanish interests, Dorna is corrupt and obviously biased towards Spanish interests there is no denying it.

I would like the idea of having oil in the swingarm and fuel in the frame, lots of space for the airbox etc. Even the front brake arrangement is still nice. But about weight? Shoud be light-weight! And how about the torque? A screamer is not actually purposeful here if BMW 1250 has 143nm of torque at 6250 revs…

Comment on What It’s Like Riding the Ducati Multistrada V4 S, A Review by Mark Kitaoka https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/reviews/2021-ducati-multistrada-v4-s-ride-review/#comment-470366 Mon, 20 Feb 2023 05:42:50 +0000 https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/?p=196636#comment-470366 Well-written and relevant points. I purchased a 2022 MSV4S Sport that was the demo bike at my dealer. They JUST placed it on sale since it had reached the mileage for a demo sale. Had ridden there on my 2017 Zero DSR just to look at the bike. After a few thousand miles and experiencing EVSE level 2 charging I decided to go back to gas. Riding since I was 8, motocross/desert/road racing I had never owned or wanted to own a Duck.

I’m not 30 anymore and discovered that even owning a dual sport, my mileage was primarily tarmac. I like the OPTION of going off-road for sure, but the reality of what I did with the DSR taught me a lesson. Nothing is as expensive as raising two kids to adulthood and paying for their college. So yes, 30k including tax and license in CA is a chunk of change. I quit smoking cold turkey in 2016 and calculated I have saved 19k not buying a pack a day, so two-thirds there already. For me, I find the bike mind-bending in so many ways. I have no interest in getting my knee down; been there and done that with a different tool. Not interested in high siding again at 140 either. Nope, this is the bike for me. The semi-active suspension would have been science fiction ten years ago to me.

Happy to have my new Italian girlfriend Joy who I can sleep with whenever and wherever I want now.

Wrong on so many levels. Please do some reading and comprehension exercises before digesting technical data. Data which you refuse to quote with links for verification. Every single plastic that is now made by petro-chemical sources can be replicated with bio-based products. Your arguing technique reminds me of a light switch with only two positions. The planet is a vast sea of gray area when it comes to describing the issues in this article. I suggest that you learn how to live there before blabbing about topics in which you have lightweight capacity. Please, Bubba, you didn’t even have the decency to apologize for accusing another member of his supposed quote. Want respect for the mumbo-jumbo, then deliver that same respect to your fellow man. You were wrong, so admit it and try to do better.
