Ducati totally lost it qua design. And a mechanics nightmare.
Just doesn’t look ‘italian style’ like this one below.

TheYamaha xsr900 is a nice looking machine, and you don’t have wear cologne. You could donate the saved $5000 to food bank or something.

That’s still ~20% more than the Duke R and almost 25% more than the Street Triple RS which are the references in this class. What does that extra coin get you other than the badge (which is borderline obnoxious at this point)?

In reply to hunkyleepickle. Agree on the exhaust. But I like Ohlins. A lot. Good suspension is never overkill. I also approve of the strong-ass and lightweight brakes. I think brakes can never be "too good". I think they forgot the forged wheels however. Not asking for carbon wheels, but an upgrade to the Ducati boat anchor cast wheels is not too much to ask for an SP in my view. Just some forged like what goes on all the S model bikes.

Again with the red seats! What is it with Italian bike companies lately with red seats? Quick to show dirt, sun bleaching, and wear. Royal PIA to maintain. I don't like red wheels either, but at least they are easier to keep looking good. More bright colors on the metal parts under a good clearcoat, please, and less on fabrics.

i feel like the exhaust will be not much different in sound or power (euro5) the suspension will be better but not significant for road use, and the brakes will be overkill for the monster. I’d spend the 2900$ delta on an aftermarket exhaust and save a bundle.
