Keep up the good work!

Besides being obviously quicker than my ‘duke, the one thing that struck me is how refined it was in comparison to my old fire breathing beast! Now the 1098 is viewed as “raw” compared to the new V4 Streetfighter and I’m still rocking the ’07 Superduke. I really thought I would buy the 1098 back before my test ride, but I couldn’t help but think how much less fun it was than what I rode up on. Please tell me that the V4 SF can move my soul more with 205 hp than my old KTM can with 115 hp, because I really want this bike on looks alone.

Key on, the visage is Anthony Davis.

If I owned one, I would install a carbon fiber headlight nacelle cover to further reduce the visual weight of that element. Then black out the middle 1/4 of the LED running light.

Other than that, I love the bike. It’s brutish looking. Shot-gun exhausts would put the icing on the cake.

I’ve never seen signals mounted like that on a factory bike. It does look like all the signals are super long, so they should be flopping around properly soon enough.

Side view the whole middle section of the bike hurts my eyes. My GF, a surgeon, says that, from the side, “that bike looks like a big gross necrotic tumor.” Honestly, I’m not sure what Ducati could have done to make it uglier… except may be paint the red parts brown.

I don’t think it comes from billet.

And you mention the geometry difficulties if the last 1098SF but don’t give the details on this one.

I’m paying for the dry clutch either way so that seems like a wash. Also could the wings be removed to reduce visual clutter or would it leave weird brackets exposed or something? On the road, I can’t imagine noticing a performance difference.

I had the very same idea and I thought they did a great job on the 1098. The new V4 is next level I love it.

Its a motorcycle, not the frigging Mona Lisa, let her proudly show her hoses and functional mechanical bits and pieces.
I still hate the headlight nacelle for being so little and droopy while the rest of the bike so massive.
It reminds me of GOOMBA, from that horrible Super Mario movie. https://lessthannegative.com/images/Movies/supermariobros2.jpg

I chose the 1290 Super Duke over the Tuono because the Super Duke was so much more comfortable, among other things, but this Ducati is calling to me….

Way back when, reviewer Kevin Ash (RIP) though of the 1199S that its only flaw was the side stand was difficult to deploy. Looks like they fixed it. Oh, and the rest of the bike is attractive also.
