…which was initially a problem when he came back to Yamaha from Ducati, since there was a Rockstar-sponsored rider there. IIRC Monster bought Lorenzo out of his engagement with Rockstar to settle the matter.

I don’t see them leaving Honda…unless a rider like Marquez is now seen as more marketable and Repsol moves with him if he were to move teams in ’25. Assuming he is still riding in ’25.

There is some precedent for this IIRC. Rossi brought some of the “team” sponsors as he moved around. Monster Energy being one.
