Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini Debuts in a Stunning Homage

Our next weekly installment of new Ducati motorcycles sees us with an inter-office collaboration, as Ducati has teamed up with Lamborghini to create the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini motorcycle.

The effort is mostly a styling exercise, but we would call the collaboration a success between the two brands.

For the American market, the 156hp (116 kW) power figure remains, though those in the European markets will get treated to the Diavel’s full 157hp (117 kW) configuration.

Peak torque remains at very stout 95 lbs•ft (129 Nm), which is part of what makes the Ducati Diavel such a fun bike to ride.

Of course, what really sets the Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is its styling, which sees the major fairing pieces changed, in order to mimic the look from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (the Italian company’s first hybrid sports car).

This means that the two models share a paint color, and more noticeably, a wheelset, with Ducati able to mimic the unique wheels found on the Lamborghini.

The air intake has also been shaped on the Diavel to look like the rear scoop on the Sian, with obvious bits of carbon fiber for good measure.

Speaking of which, the exhaust is also made from carbon pieces, molded into two hexagonal outlets – again an homage to the Lamborghini design language. No matter what you speak, we think you’ll like that touch.

A red-painted Brembo caliper completes the aesthetic at the front, and Ducati says that only 260 Diavel 1260 Lamborghini motorcycles will be made.

If you like what you see, you better hide your wallet. Retail price for the United States is set at $31,995 MSRP, which is quite the pretty penny.

Though, that price is still a considerable savings when compared to the cost of a four-wheeled Lamborghini. So…perspectives.
